2nd September 2007
Windsurfing: Levington
Wind Direction: WSW
Wind Stength:
Surf / Sea State: fairly flat
Air Temperature: 20
Sea Temperature: 18
Weather: light cloud
Max Speed: 20.9/10sec (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered:

I went to Felixstowe but the wind was light and offshore. So four of us went to Levington where the wind was cross-on. Rigged a 8.5 as full as it could go and had a nice sail. Being a river the wind was a bit up and down. In the gusts the full sail was a bit much, but I'd rather be overpowered half the time than underpowered the other half. I sailed for about two and a half hours, only getting the GPS out for the second half of the afternoon. A couple more joined us (not sure they appreciated my invitation but I'll find out in Squiz' post here). It was the first time I had sailed there and should work in SW to W. No beach to launch off just a scramble down the earthworks. So, no beach, bit gusty, but still 5 stars as I did not expect a sail at all. Nice suprise which made it all the better.
